The Rebels and Ewoks celebrated during the night, an event occurring on thousands of planets across the galaxy, as they had accomplished their main goals. The Emperor was dead, and the Empire had been dealt a massive blow. In this glorious celebration, Leia revealed to Han that Luke was her brother. The celebration continued into the night time, with the Rebels rendezvousing at Bright Tree Village. The Ewok later proceeded to celebrate by utilizing helmets of stormtroopers and TIE pilots confiscated from the Imperial survivors as drums. Shortly after his death, what little had remained of Vader's organic body had vanished into the Force, leaving behind only his cybernetics and armor. Despite this, Luke created a funeral pyre for the armor in the traditional Jedi manner, and set it alight as the Rebel celebration got underway. After the armor had all but burned away, Luke returned to Bright Tree Village where most of the planetside Rebel commanders were celebrating. After warmly greeting both Leia and Han, Luke took a moment to gaze off into the distance, and saw the ghost of his father, along with the ghosts of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, standing on the platform from whence he had just come. As all three looked on approvingly at Luke, he paused to exchange a brief smile with them before Leia arrived to bring him back to the celebration. Read more... |
