It was one of missions that was executed by Republic Operatives during the Cold War on Tatooine. While passing by Chuaro farmstead in the Nothern wastes region of Junland, the operatives met with Tre Nareves, who was serving as a goodwill ambassador for the Republic on Tatooine. He explained, that on behalf of the Republic he was trying to help settlers to defend themselves from various threats. He gave the settlers the special perimeter sensors that could detect specific life-forms, such as wraids or Sand People, but in trying to set up the sensors several local were killed by those same wraids and Sand People. The locals blamed Nareves for the deaths of their fellow settlers unless he installed the sensors himself. He asked the operatives for their help in installing the sensors, pointing out that the best place for the sensors would be in taller rock embankements where they should last longer.
The operatives agreed to help and went outside. As soon as they installed the first sensor, they were attacked by a group of Sand People. The operatives quickly defeated them all and then installed two more sensors nearby. They returned to Naveres and reported their success. He told the operatives that he had just received the delegation from one of the nearby settlements who said that the sensors had already helped them repel an anooba attack and they wanted to discuss an alliance with the Republic. He then thanked the operatives, mentioning that while the life on Tatooine is harsh, the people here have something that the ones on Coruscant don't and that he was happy to have them on Republic's side.
