Summary

	The N-1 torpedo launching system was a weapon system designed and manufactured by the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps for their N-1 Starfighter. Engineers placed the components of the system into the empty spaces on the left and right sides of the ship's nose, which filled the available cavities while keeping the main weapon line centered. The entire system was made of three core components. First, the twin magazines consisted of two completely separate internal ammunition stockpiles hidden inside the left and right sides of the nose, holding five proton torpedoes each for a total capacity of ten. It could be modified to carry 7 torpedoes in each magazine, and Essara Till used such a modified system with 14 torpedoes on her N-1 during the battle at Station TFP-9. Second, the dual feeders functioned as two independent, automated cycling tracks connected to each magazine. Finally, the single launch track served as a centralized physical exit tube located underneath the nose of the ship, which both side launching systems funneled directly into. In combat, these two launchers were hardwired to a single firing circuit controlled by one trigger button in the cockpit, a feature defined as "fire-linked." Because they were slave-linked at the hardware level, the pilot could not choose to operate them independently. Furthermore, because both mechanisms shared a single tube, they simply could not fire at the exact same time. Instead, the hardwired link meant that each individual pull of the trigger released only a single torpedo, automatically alternating between the left and right internal launching systems. Apart from faster reloading times, this specific design provided two major battlefield advantages. It offered combat redundancy because if one of the launchers damaged or malfunctioned, the other one kept working independently, allowing the pilot to retain fifty percent of their ordnance. It also allowed for modular maintenance, meaning mechanics could service or swap out just one broken side feeder assembly without touching the rest of the ship, making repairs faster and simpler.
