The SE-14r light repeating blaster, sometimes referred to as the Imperial repeating pistol, was a combat pistol with fully automatic capabilities. Manufactured specifically for the Galactic Empire, it was carried as a sidearm by some Imperial officers and stormtrooper commanders.
The SE-14r was an alternate model of the semi-automatic SR combat pistol used by the Separatist Droid Army at the height of the Clone Wars, combining the portability and ease of use of a blaster pistol with a high rate of fire. However, this made it more likely to run out of ammo during an extended firefight or series of engagements, and overheating stemming from prolonged discharges of the weapon could warp the SE-14r's barrel, causing potentially catastrophic malfunctions.
