Summary
| It was a covert campaign waged by Sith Empire against Republic on the planet Nar Shaddaa during the Cold War. Colonel Harok, under orders from Admiral Jefand Ange, and Sith Lord Zavrasha have tasked a team of an elite Imperial Operatives with destroying the Republic’s technological advances gained on a contested world of Nar Shaddaa. They were sure that If left unchecked, the Republic will become too powerful and overwhelm the Empire gaining full control of the critical planet. Harok ensured that comm blackout would be in place thanks to Empire's Hutts allies and Lord Zavrasha demanded that operatives do not jeopardize the peace treaty to avoid an open war, striking swiftly and anonymously. They requested a team to meet with Captain Westro at the Upper Industrial Sector taxi pad who would provide further details on the operation.Captain Westro informed the operatives that his strike team infiltrated Republic's research complex and identified critical objectives, now the key mission priority was to assist them in their tasks. He added that the recon teams reported heavy resistance from enemy forces consisting of elite soldiers, mercenaries and Jedi. He also informed that Hutts sent the recon droids to the area to monitor Republic activities, requesting to find the droids to ensure critical information regarding Empire's involvement won't become available to Hutts. Finally he mentioned that Agent Kayd requested assistance earlier and asked to meet with her before departing on the mission.The team went to the outpust in Tiernon building, recovering spice addiction cure and destroying the equipment in MediCure labs on their way. They returned formula to agent Beshar, who was stationed at the outpost.There they accepted another important mission from Lieutenant DeMare - ensure that a newly Czerka-developed prototype sensors won't come into Republic military hands. The operatives successfully raided Republic labs deep inside the complex and destroyed both the equipment and the prototypes, killing all key science personnel there. DeMare congratulated the operatives with the success. Soon after that as per request from Cathan Dru the operatives infiltrated the secret Republic vault and retrieved sensitive Republic data that allowed the Empire to blackmail and coerce several manufatures switch sides and start working for the Empire instead of for the Republic.A few minutes later the operatives were approached by DX-AX, who was a part of DX annihilator network. After DX-AX confirmed their identities using facial scan, he opened comm channel to Lord Zavrasha. Zavrasha congratulated operatives with their successes, saying that the Republic forces fled their research complex in Tiernon building, broked and demoralized - and unaware that it was Empire behind the attacks. She also said that all Republic research data was on its way to Dromund Kaas. But DX-AX interrupted, stating that Imperial celebrations were premature because DX network exposed secret Republic allies and backup operations. He added that according to DX network calculations, Republic will fully recover in a month - to avoid this the Empire would have to invade Network access annex and eliminate all threats. Zavrasha ordered that this new threat be eliminated immediately, and DX-AX added that Imperial Intelligence and the Shadow Syndicate would assist the operatives. Closing the comm channel, he named a person to contact - Narvusin, a Kel Dor - and gave the coordinates of a secret turbolift that would take the operatives directly to their objective and the operatives set off to Network Security District.Upon arriving at the Transit Bridge, they were greeted by Imperial Intelligence operatives who shown them where to find Narvusin. Narvusin greeted them in somewhat cryptic way and assured the operatives that Shadow Syndicate and Imperial Intelligence were there to support their campaign. He gave them a list with contacts who would provide further details. Commander Stron was the first person on the list and operatives soon found him nearby. Stron asked to deal with an enigmatic slicer, Zero, who compromised Imperial military data. The operatives traced Zero - who, in fact, was a rogue slicer droid - and destroyed him along with all his droid supporters, ensuring the security of Imperial databanks. They returned back to Narvusin, who was impressed with their deeds and contacted his employer, Godoba the Hutt, who wanted to thank the operatives personally.Godoba appeared on the Narvusin's comlink and expressed his gratitude. He added that a great opportunity was revealed itself to strengthen the alliance between the Empire and the Shadow Syndicate. Narvusin explained that the Republic was evacuating the families of its diplomats and researchers. The Syndicate was ready to destroy the transport if the order from the Empire would come. The operatives weren't ready to act without first consulting with their superiors - they were sure Lord Zavrasha wouldn't approve, but Narvusin continued to insist that the decision be made immediately because the transport was ready to depart and after it jumped to hyperspace the chance would be lost. The operatives refused the offer, saying that Shadow Syndicate would need to find a more appropriate gift for the Empire than commiting war crimes. Godoba was disappointed, saying that the the operatives were hard to please, and, saying his farewell, disconnected from the call. Narvusin than said that Colonel Harok was awaiting the operatives at the Mezenti spaceport and left.The operatives arrived at Mezenti spaceport and reported to Colonel Harok. He said he was filling a report to Admiral Ange. The operation was a complete success, the Republic's power base on Nar Shaddaa was obliterated. He was sure that the Republic knew the Empire behind the attacks, but they could not prove it. Lord Zavrasha joined them. She said that the Dark Council was pleased, the success of this covert operation on a densely populated world meant the Empire could do it anywhere. She added, that her master request her to return to Dromund Kaas and left. | ||
