These wings could be folded up when the shuttle landed, allowing the shuttle to take up less space on hangar floors. A landing ramps on both sides were used to board and reboard the vessel, leading up to the main entry hatches. The transport had twin-barrel cannon mounted on each wingtip and forward-oriented twin-barrel 90-degree swivel-cannon on each side near the cockpit. It also had two forward-firing two-tube missile lauchers.
