DeMare was a Lieutenant in the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Cold War between the Empire and the Galactic Republic, during which he was stationed at the secret Imperial Surveillance Outpost in Tiernon Building on Nar Shaddaa. Back in the days he served as a field operative and participated in many military operations. During the campaign to undermine Republic advances on Nar Shaddaa, he asked a group of Imperial Operatives to destroy prototype military equipment developed by Czerka Corporation for the Republic.
