Marcus was commander who served the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Cold War. In 3643 BBY, Marcus was stationed on the planet Tatooine, and held the rank of commander. During that same year, an Imperial transport carrying vital data was shot down over the Dune Sea. Marcus sent several teams to retrieve the data, but all failed, and he was forced to ask a team of elite Imperial operatives for help.
