Nal Hutta (Glorious Jewel in Huttese), also known simply as Hutta, was the capital of Hutt Space and was located in the Y'Toub system. It was formerly known as Evocar and was the original home world of the Evocii, who were ousted by the Hutts in 15,000 BBY, who migrated from their original home world of Varl along with their servants the t'landa Til. The planet was controlled by the ancient ruling Hutt families, who also ruled its moon Nar Shaddaa from Nal Hutta and became the new capital of the Hutt Empire.During Great Galactic War Nal Hutta was covered by semi-toxic swamplands broken up by industrial facilities and urban centers. Hutt-aligned gangs were in control of the civilized regions, constantly warring over the territory and resources. In the swamps, the native Evocii was struggling against their Hutt rulers with limited success. The Hutt were officially neutral in the conflict between Empire and Republic, and welcomed visitors. Pirates, slavers and spice dealers were all common sights in Hutt palaces, while corporations often established themselves on Nal Hutta's moon.
