	Matare was a Force-sensitive Zabrak Zabrak Sentient Species male Jedi Knight Jedi Knight Miscellaneous Ranks who served the Jedi Order Jedi Order Organization Galaxy-Wide Organizations and the Galactic Republic during the Cold War The Cold War Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) . He was one of many Jedi who relocated to the Jedi homeworld of Tython Tython Planet after the Order relocated there to rebuild at the conclusion of the Great Galactic War Great Galactic War Event Great Galactic War (3681BBY - 3653BBY) . While on the planet, Matare frequented the Masters' Retreat, an enclave near the Jedi Temple on Tython. Around the year 3643 BBY, the Flesh Raiders, a savage species native to Tython, began to attack Jedi and others in the Gnarls and other regions around the Jedi Temple, which led Matare to believe that the Jedi should no longer send their Padawans Jedi Padawan Miscellaneous Ranks to the Gnarls for training. During the Flesh Raider attacks Attack of the Flesh Raiders Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) , Matare discussed the situation in the Gnarls with Jedi Master Jedi Master Miscellaneous Ranks Benn Benn (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) , who believed that it was important for the Padawans to learn to identify darkness and dangerous situations during the dark times in which the Order was locked.
