Summary
During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, a smuggler captain named Voidhound was hired by Rendia Freight to smuggle a shipment of blasters to the planet Ord Mantell, a planet that was in the middle of a Civil war between the Republic-backed Ord Mantell Central Authority and the Mantellian Separatist Movement.
Flying through the battle above the planet and destroying several ships on the way, the smuggler captain landed their XS stock light freighter on the landing pad in the settlement of Drelliad village on the island of Avilatan.
There Voidhound was met by a man named Skavak, whom complimented the smuggler's flying. He paid Voidhound and suggested that the smuggler would leave quickly since the Separatists were nearby, but before they started to unload the cargo, another Rendia employee by the name of Corso Riggs ran into the hangar and informed the two that the Separatists had hijacked the control of the anti-aircraft cannon and could shoot down the smuggler's starship, as they had already destroyed an incoming Republic transport. When Voidhound said that Republic troopers would deal with the Separatists, Corso replied that they've already got their hands full - Separatist rocket launchers just attacked a Republic walker and knocked it down hard.
Corso suggested to destroy the remote control stations and then reprogram targeting computer again as the only way to get out of the planet. Voidhound asked if they two would help him and Corso eagerly agreed, because he wanted to show the Separatists his new best friend, a blaster he named "Torchy". But Skavak refused and didn't allow Corso to go either, saying that they need to get those blasters to the people who need them and Voidhound could take care of themselves. Corso reluctantly agreed with Skavak and said that the Separatists had remote control stations all over the area, and Voidhound probably have to destroy at least three before they lose control of that cannon.
Voidhound left the hangar through the back door, because the main gate was closed as a precaution against a Separatists attack, and headed towards the village, which was now under full Separatist control. A section of the western wall was completely destroyed, and a few Mantellian soldiers were hiding behind the barricades just outside the village. There, Voidhound met with Sergeant Blyes, a unit commander of the 31st Recon, and a trooper named Meteor, who was on now-destroyed APC that was attacked by Separatists and which Corso mentioned back in the hangar. Blyes explained that he had tried to alert the HQ at Fort Garnik using long-range communications and, failing to do so, even tried to send one of his troopers, but the scout was killed by one of the snipers in the hills surrounding the Drelliad village. Blyes asked Meteor and Voidhound to help him and destroy the jammers the Separatists had set up in the village. Meteor and Voidhound agreed, promising Blyes to deal with the Separatists in the village while they carried out their respective missions. They agreed to meet here again as soon as all their objectives were completed.
Meteor and Voidhound quickly disabled the jammers, and then Voidhound went in search of the remote control stations. The stations were easy to locate because they towering over other buildings, but they were defended by the Separatists. One by one Voidhound destroyed three control stations, killing the Separatists guarding them. Being sure that the Separatists had lost control over the targeting computer, Voidhound went to the air defense control station to find and reprogam the computer. Voidhound entered the building and was attacked by two Separatists, killing them in ensuing shootout. On the second level Voidhound found the computer that didn't respond to the commands, so the smuggler chose to blast it instead, effectively disabling the air defense control network.
As the smuggler destroyed the computer, Corso called via a holocommunicator and warned that there was trouble, Separatists were busting into the hangar, and he requested help. Before the call ended, Corso was calling out to Skavak, asking what he was doing before the call got cut. Voidhound rushed back to the hangar, only to find Corso injured and surrounded by Separatist soldiers. After killing the separatists, Voidhound assisted Corso. While the smuggler was doing this, their ship was stolen by Skavak. Corso revealed Skavak had apparently been working with the Separatists, letting them into the hangar. Aside from the ship, Skavak had stolen the blasters that were supposed to be delivered by the smuggler. Corso complained that his blaster Torchy had also been stolen. They contacted Skavak via holo who thanked the duo for the blasters, the ship, and a big laugh, on behalf of Ord Mantell's glorious freedom fighters, before jumping to hyperspace, cutting the connection. Corso then told the captain that he and Skavak had been working for Viidu's Rendia Freight, who would want to get revenge on Skavak when he found out about what had happened. As per Corso's suggestions, the smuggler decided go to Fort Garnik. The military fort was controlled by the Mantellian Army, but they allowed Viidu to do what he wanted as long as he kept their supply lines open. Corso said that he would join Voidhound later, but needed first to lock down the hangar.
Just outside the village Voidhound rendezvoused with Meteor as they agreed earlier, and the two headed towards Fort Garnik.
