, and was used by virtually every major faction during that period. The electroblades - or electroblade swords - were melee weapons with cylindrical blades that delivered painful shocks on contact instead of cutting or cauterizing like a normal sword or lightsabers. The electroblade was widely used as a combat melee weapon by both the Imperial and Republic Armies, as well as by paramilitary groups and planetary defense forces.
The basic L3 had charged elements on both sides of the blade, two additional elements could be installed to form a four-sided attack surface. The most advanced version was also equipped with a reinforced charged tip, which made it possible to use the weapon not only for swinging blows, but also for stabbing.
The model had wide modification possibilities and allowed the installation of extra modules that added various features and capabilities to the weapon, for example, overload or armor-piercing.
